This policy explains how Ramin Arian, REALTOR®, collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use raminarian.com or contact me. I follow British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

I am responsible for personal information collected through this website, and I am the contact for any privacy question or request.
What I collect
- Consultation requests: your name, email, phone number (optional) and your message.
- Home evaluation requests: your name, contact details, the property’s address, type, number of bedrooms, your selling timeline and any notes you add.
- Open house sign-ins: your name, phone, email, and whether you are working with an agent or thinking of selling.
- Questions about a listing: your name, email and/or phone, your message, and which listing you asked about.
- Automatically: like most websites, the server records basic technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time) to keep the site secure and working. The site uses cookies needed for it to function and to load pages quickly.
- Listing statistics: when you view a listing, a view count is sent to the Canadian Real Estate Association (REALTOR.ca), with your IP address and a random cookie ID, so listing brokerages can see where their listings are viewed. Maps are provided by OpenStreetMap and fonts by Google Fonts, which receive your IP address when they load.
I only collect what I need to respond to you and provide real estate services.
How I use it
- To reply to your request and provide the real estate services you ask for.
- To prepare a home evaluation or follow up after an open house.
- To keep the records that real estate licensees and brokerages must keep under BC law.
- To send you listings and market updates only if you tick the consent box. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also email me to stop at any time.
Who I share it with
I never sell or rent your personal information. I share it only:
- with my brokerage, Behroyan & Associates Real Estate Services Ltd., where needed for record-keeping and supervision;
- with service providers that run this website and my email, only to provide those services;
- when you ask me to (for example, with a lender, lawyer or another agent during a transaction); or
- when required by law or by the BC Financial Services Authority.
Where it is stored
This website is hosted by NameHero in the United States, and my email is provided by Proton in Switzerland. Information stored outside Canada may be subject to the laws of those countries, including lawful access by their authorities.
How long I keep it
I keep your information only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it, or as long as BC law requires real estate records to be kept. After that, it is securely deleted.
How I protect it
The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Form submissions are stored in a location the public cannot access, and only I can retrieve them.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or withdraw your consent to marketing messages at any time. Email raminarian@pm.me or call 604-505-6230 and I will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
