Luxury shopping in Vancouver

Alberni Street’s flagships, the new Oakridge Park, and shopping close to home on the North Shore.

Vancouver’s luxury shopping has grown a great deal in the past few years. There’s a dense cluster of flagships downtown, and a major new destination opened in 2026. Here’s where to go, from downtown to the North Shore.

Alberni Street, downtown

The blocks of Alberni Street between Burrard and Bute are Vancouver’s luxury district. They’re often called the city’s “luxury zone”, with international fashion houses, jewellers and watchmakers side by side.

  • Hermès opened its Vancouver flagship at Burrard and Alberni in 2019.
  • The cluster traces back to 1991, when Chanel opened on Burrard Street.
  • Today the area includes jewellers and watchmakers such as Tiffany & Co., Cartier and Chopard, alongside fashion houses.
  • Longines announced its first Canadian boutique for the street in 2026.

Brands do move, so check each house’s own store locator before you go.

Nearby, Holt Renfrew’s Vancouver store, the luxury department store, is in the downtown core.

Oakridge Park

The biggest change in years. Oakridge Park, the redevelopment of the old Oakridge Centre, opened on May 28, 2026. Its developer describes it as a 28-acre destination with more than 100 brands across 650,000 square feet of retail. The opening lineup includes:

  • fashion and leather goods from houses such as Chanel and Brunello Cucinelli
  • Rolex, Tiffany & Co. and Bvlgari among the jewellers and watchmakers
  • a Time Out Market with 18 local chefs and restaurateurs

It’s a short drive from Shaughnessy and Kerrisdale, and the Canada Line runs past it.

On the North Shore

  • Park Royal, West Vancouver. Opened in 1950, Park Royal was one of Canada’s first shopping centres, and it’s now among the largest in BC. It’s the North Shore’s everyday shopping centre, with department stores, fashion, food and services.
  • Ambleside and Dundarave. West Vancouver’s two village high streets along Marine Drive have independent boutiques, cafés and galleries. Shopping here is local, unhurried and within walking distance for many residents. Ambleside guide · Dundarave guide

South Granville

Granville Street between roughly 5th and 16th Avenues is the city’s gallery row. It mixes art galleries with fashion boutiques, interiors shops and restaurants, close to Shaughnessy. Collecting art in Vancouver

A few tips

  • Book an appointment for a private viewing or for something hard to find. The flagships will arrange it.
  • Ask about waitlists for certain watches and leather goods. Vancouver’s boutiques keep their own.
  • Interiors are a separate world. Vancouver’s design showrooms are in Gastown, downtown and Kitsilano. Design and furniture showrooms
